US SOCCER ANNOUNCES EQUAL PAY FOR MEN AND WOMEN TEAMS

U.S. Soccer, women’s team members settle equal pay lawsuit for $24 million. Following years of pressure from female national football players, the US men’s and women’s national soccer teams will receive equal pay under a “historic” agreement announced by the US Soccer Federation on Wednesday, May 18.
This agreement will guarantee equal pay with the men’s team and offer players millions in back pay, ending a six-year fight in a gender discrimination case that resonated through American sports and beyond.
This is historic. Let’s keep pushing, let’s keep fighting for women all over the world.
